Robert, who resided with a brother at 781 Polk St., Memphis, was riding a bicycle at the time he was injured.
A short excert of a newspaper article written by a friend of Roberts wrote:
"A more noble and consecreated, uplifting and ambitious friend I never knew, he was loyal to his school work, to the church, and to his Savior."
